South Baltimore United promotes community engagement by distributing local news and information and sponsoring events that bring the community together.

We celebrate living and working in this vibrant part of Baltimore City with a free community newspaper, extensive social media & blog posts, and community events.

Founded by SoBo residents in 2021, we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit running on volunteer power and donations.

News Online & In Print

To connect with as many SoBo residents as possible, we distribute a free community newspaper six times a year and maintain an active online presence through a blog and social media – all under the banner of the South Baltimore Peninsula Post.

Community Events

There’s a lot to celebrate in South Baltimore. We sponsor events that encourage residents to discover and enjoy SoBo’s history, architecture, and green spaces, including “I Love SoBo Day,” “Chalk It Up SoBo,” and a holiday lights self-guided tour.
